TBWS have been exclusive BECS Technology distributors for Australia since 2012, after Tim Batt previously had started Stranco Australia in the ‘80s and building on the strong reputation of Strantrol® controllers. Stranco had been a driving force in the world Aquatic market in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s before it was purchased by USFilter, then Siemens. Tim became Aquatic Products manager for these companies. The PULSAR System, Ezetrol / Depolox controllers and Siemens UV systems were added to the range from 2000 onwards. TBWS was founded when Siemens departed the water industry in 2011.

Popular and proven benchmark in the commercial pool industry, the Sys3 is simple to use and has a bright, clear LED display of readings. Although compact it has solid control capabilities with free chlorine probe or ORP based control of chlorination.

Evolved over years of proven and reliable operation the capabilities of the Sys5 have been constantly upgraded to keep it at the forefront of the industry and unmatched in it’s capabilities. Although configurable for a wide variety of demanding applications the Sys5 remains simple to operate with well laid out controls and on screen help.

BECS CO2 Feeder

CO2 is a safe and effective alternative to dosing acid for pH correction, first introduced on public pools in Australia by Tim Batt in 1987. The simple and reliable BECS CO2 feeder features a gas solenoid valve and gas flow rotameter (5-50SCFH or 20-200SCFH), tubing and a practical ½” threaded CO2 diffuser. A choice of single or dual cylinder, manual or auto changeover CO2 regulators are offered.

Originally manufactured and sold under the ‘Wallace & Tiernan’ name, these top European controllers are well featured with simple, touch screen interfaces and comprehensive features suitable for modern pools and aquatic centres. Modular integrated flowcells make for a neat appearance. Relay, pulse or 4-20mA PID control capabilities for control of a variety of chemical feeders, including W&T or similar gas chlorinators. Ethernet communications capabilities are standard, with MODBUS communications optional on some models.

PULSAR®

The PULSAR® System – Dry Chlorine Briquette Feeders & Chemical

The top selling pool dry chlorine feed system in the US market has also proven popular in Australia over the last two decades. The latest design ‘Pulsar Precision’ feeder features a new high energy erosion type wetting system for the Pulsar Briquettes, which reduces them down efficiently as required. The process minimises the amount of solids remaining in the feeder and the new sump design makes it resistant to scaling or sludge. The result is accurate chemical feed with far lower maintenance requirement than previous models. Highest quality Pulsar Briquettes are the only Calcium Hypochlorite product to include a scale inhibitor that makes the system flow smoothly for the long term.

Popular with operators and simple to use with minimal dust, the Briquettes can be scooped in small quantities if required (NB - PPE safety equipment is required when handling chemicals, for operator safety). There is an optional dust free fill feature which can exclude dust altogether and effectively increases the hopper holding capacity.

New Pulsar ‘Precision 30’ for smaller pools and spas is also now available, using the same proven Briquette erosion technology.
